German and Japanese TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES

Job Opening: Full-time EFL Lecturer 

 2017 -2018 -2019 Academic Years

Position:         German / Japanese LECTURER

Hours:  16 hours per week on average;

Duties:  Teaching German / Japanese courses for undergraduate students;

Salary:  6,000, 7,000, or 8,000 RMB per month depending on experience and degree;

Housing:  1,000 RMB per month rent, paid by the University, for a furnished two     bedroom apartment, including 4,400 RMB per year for telephone, internet and utilities;

Vacation:  30-day paid vacation, plus public holidays, including 2,200 RMB per year travel allowance;

Medical:  1,200 to 1,500 RMB medical insurance premium for in-hospital treatment in China, including 800 RMB per academic year for basic clinic treatment will be provided by the University;

Airfare:  Airline ticket provided;

Language:  Chinese language training provided upon request at no cost;

Orientation:  Orientation to Chongqing and University provided.

Desired Qualifications:

MA or higher in TESOL or Education; or

MS in Sciences + 1 year of full-time ELT experience at the university level and/or with adult learners in classroom settings; or

Experience in GE, EAP, ESP, English for Disciplinary Studies (EDS).

 Minimum Qualifications:

BA in TESOL or related fields, Education, and/or Communication + 2 years of full-time ELT experience at the university level and/or with adult learners in classroom settings; or

BS in Sciences + CELTA/DELTA or equivalent certificate preferred + 2 years of full-time ELT experience at the university level and/or with adult learners in classroom settings.

*Applicants should have experience in materials development, well-rounded knowledge in assessment, and flexibility in working in culturally/socially different settings.
